CHICAGO, Ill. – Julia Taliana had an amazing week for Illinois Tech women's soccer. On Tuesday, her strong play resulted in accolades, as she was named Women's Soccer Player of the Week by both the Association of Division III Independents and the United States Collegiate Athletic Association.
Taliana finished the week with six goals, three assists and 15 points as Illinois Tech went 2-0. The freshman opened the week with four goals and three assists in a win over Rockford on Thursday. On Saturday, she followed that up with two goals, including the game-winner, in a 5-1 win at St. Mary of the Woods.
