Women’s Track and Field Competes at Carthage Friday

KENOSHA, Wis. – On Friday, the Illinois Tech men's track and field team competed in the Carthage College Final Qualifier to wrap-up the indoor season. No team score was recorded in the meet.

Meet Highlights

  • Tech was strong in the 200m, with Mminika Effiong leading the way for the Scarlet Hawks. She placed second with a 28.72s. Effiong also competed in the long jump, placing eighth with a 4.98m mark.
  • Masha Staub followed Effiong in the 200m with a fifth place finish (29.42s). She also placed third in the 55m with a time of 8.28s.
  • In the 800m, Zoey Krevitz placed 10th with a time of 2:54.77.
