Chicago, Ill. - Hozumi Tada of men's tennis and Amelia Moseman of women's track & field are the recipients of Scarlet Hawk of the Week honors for the week ending May 4th, 2025.
Tada, a freshman Aerospace Engineering major from Sakura, Japan, went 4-0 on the week during the NACC tournament, helping the Scarlet Hawks win the conference championship and the automatic bid to the NCAA D3 Men's Tennis Championships. Tada went 2-0 against CUW in the semi-finals, winning his singles match 6-1, 7-5 and his doubles match with Pedro Caroa-Accino Roca 7-6 (7-4). In the championship match against MSOE, Tada also went 2-0, winning his singles match 7-6 (7-3), 6-1 and his doubles match with Roca 6-3.
Moseman, a senior sprinter and Computer Science major from St. Paul, Minnesota, took first place in two events at the NACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships this past weekend, setting new school records in both events. Moseman was the top finisher in the 400 meter dash, running in a school record time of 57.19. Moseman followed that up with an anchor leg time of 56.2 in the 4x400 meter relays to help lead the Scarlet Hawks to first place with a school record relay time of 4:01.37 with relay team members Olivia Jameson, Isabelle Pullen and Zoe Turner.
