Chicago, IL – Illinois Tech women's basketball opened their 2013 season with a couple of road losses.  In its first season since adding women's basketball back to the athletic program, the Hawks dove right into competition in the University of Chicago tip-off tournament.  Unfortunately they fell short in both games.      

In the first game, the Hawks were led by Lauren Capuano with 12 points andAdrianna Maron with 10 points but they fell to Coe College 91-39.  

In their second game Lauren Capuano put up a double double with 17 points and 12 rebounds.  Capuano was named to the All Tournament team.

Illinois Tech is 0-2 on the season and will play in their home opener on November 19 when Alverno College visits Chicago.
