Volleyball Spikes Roosevelt

Chicago, IL – Lead by a true team effort, but Hawks said good-bye to their five seniors by sweeping Roosevelt University in three straight sets (25-15, 25-19 and 25-23). It was better than any sendoff you could script up to end the season with a rivalry win and a two game winning streak.

Against RU Roma Mirutenko was the night's top attacker finishing with 10 kills, two aces, nine digs while Kate Kendall added 10 kills, two digs and one block. JuniorTaylor Duman seemed unstoppable hitting over .500 with nine kills and no errors. Senior Rebecca Wilson chipped in with five kills and senior Brittany Mead collected 13 digs and five assists of her own. Adriane Walther finished with 29 team assists.

The Hawks finish the 2013 season with a 12-19 overall record.
