Box Score Milwaukee, WI- The Scarlet Hawks women's basketball team traveled to Wisconsin to take on Mount Mary in the second of a home and home match up scheduled this season. The first time the teams met was a heartbreaker for Tech as they were edged in overtime after leading the entire game.
The Hawks got off to a great start in the first half of this one, grabbing the lead 6 minutes in and holding onto it for the entirety of the half. They headed into the locker room with a 27-24 advantage.
Illinois Tech lost the lead a few times in the second half but would continue to regain it until the 1:45 mark when Mount Mary tied it up at 45. From there the Blue Angels didn't look back as they closed the game out 53-47.
Four lady Hawks scored in double figures; Brooke Bell (15 points), Adrianna Maron (11 points), Hailey Borowczyk (11 points), and Jessica Henriques (10 points).
The Scarlet Hawks will host Central Christian College on Saturday February 14th with a 2pm tip-off.
