Milwaukee, Wis. - For their final away match of the 2023 regular season, the Illinois Tech Scarlet Hawks men's soccer team traveled north to take on the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) match-up. A lone goal in the 55th minute was the deciding factor between the Hawks (5-8-6, 4-6-1) and Warrior (8-6-3, 6-5-0), with the Hawks earning the victory.
How It Happened

The lone goal of the contest came in the 55th minute off the foot of Maciek Matusiak. With the Hawks pressing towards the Warriors goal, Christian Garcia earned the assist on the play when he was able to poke the ball towards a wide open Matusiak. Matusiak would go on to take a one-touch, left-footed, shot from about 25 yards out. Matusiak's shot would find its way into the lower right corner of the goal, proving to be just enough to earn the Hawks a 1-0 victory.
