Chicago, Ill. - In a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) contest, the Illinois Tech Scarlet Hawks women's basketball team welcomed the St. Norbert College Green Knights to the Keating Sports Center. The visiting Green Knights (0-0, 0-0) immediately started the game dominating the ball, beginning action with a 11-0 run before the Hawks (0-0, 0-0) made their first basket. By halftime, the Hawks were able to make up some ground, but the Green Knights comfortably remained in the lead, leading 36-22. During the second half of action, the Hawks kept pace with the Green Knights throughout the third quarter, making it a 12-point game. Unfortunately for the Hawks, the Green Knights were once again able to find their groove, building up to an unstoppable lead. In the end, the Green Knights defeated the Hawks 86-61.

The Green Knights controlled the game right out of the game, going on an 11-0 run to begin action against the Hawks. It wasn't until 3:49 remained in the first quarter when the Hawks recorded their first basket off a Julia Bucci layup. The Green knights power run continued through the remainder of the quarter as they closed it out with a 13-2 run to end the first quarter leading the Hawks 24-4.

During the second quarter of play, the Hawks were able to make up some ground on the Green Knights lead. Kaya Jones began the quarter with a jumper to get action going. At the 7:45 mark, Chloe Churilla made a layup to make it a 13-point, 28-13 game in favor of the Green Knights. Both sides continued to make offensive plays through the remainder of the quarter. Heading into halftime, the Green Knights led the Hawks 36-22. During the second quarter, the Hawks were able to out-score the Green Knights 18-12.
Second Half (St. Norbert 50 - Illinois Tech 39)

The Hawks kept up their pace coming out of halftime, continuing to attempt to chip away at the Green Knights lead. Between 7:44 and 5:14, the Hawks went on a 10-0 run to cut the Green Knights lead to 41-35, a 6-point difference. With the third quarter ticking away, the Hawks continued to push offensively to stay within reach. At the buzzer, K. Jones made a layup to end the quarter trailing by 12 as the Green Knights led 55-43.

To begin the fourth quarter, the Green Knights went on a 7-3 run to build back a lead over the Hawks, forcing the Hawks to take a timeout with 7:57 on the clock. The Green Knights continued to dominate play for the remainder of the game, building back an unstoppable lead. At the final buzzer, the Hawks ultimately fell to the Green Knights 86-61.
