Valparaiso, Ind. - The Illinois Tech swimming and diving team hit the road for the first time this season last Friday, October 18th, competing in the Valparaiso Double Dual with Quincy University and host Valparaiso University. The meet was the start of a stretch of three consecutive road meets for the Scarlet Hawks.
The Scarlet Hawks left the Hoosier State with three first-place finishes, four second-place finishes and four third-place finishes.Â
Senior Claire van Biljon led the way for the Scarlet Hawks with three first-place finishes in the women's competition:Â
- 1st Place - 200-yard Freestyle - 2:00.78
- 1st Place - 50-yard Freestyle - 25.15
- 1st Place - 100-yard Freestyle - 54.31
