Greenwood, Ind. - Senior Devin Zakeri, juniors Ben Mehl and Matthew Watson, and sophomores Paul Balea, Dominik Kroupa and Brennan Paradiso of Illinois Tech men's soccer were all named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) 2024 Men's Soccer Academic All-District® Team for NCAA Division III.
The 2024 Academic All-District® Men's Soccer Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a sophomore or higher in class level, carry a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average (out of a scale of 4), must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games/contests played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games/contests.
The six Illinois Tech men's soccer players were among only 29 other men's soccer players from the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) to earn Academic All-District® honors, Additionally, Illinois Tech was one of only two NACC schools to have the maximum number of six men's soccer players named to the Academic All-District® Team, with St. Norbert being the other.
