Men's Lacrosse Concludes Season In NACC Semi-Finals

Mequon, Wis. - A close score first half for the Illinois Tech men's lacrosse team that saw the Scarlet Hawks pull within one goal of host Concordia Wisconsin with 6:37 remaining was quickly negated by the Falcons, as they scored three consecutive goals to close out the first half en route to their 19-8 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference tournament semi final victory Tuesday afternoon.  The Hawks finish their season at 8-8 overall, while the number two seed Falcons improve to 13-5 overall, and advance to the NACC men's lacrosse championship match Saturday afternoon against Aurora.

The Falcons used several scoring runs to secure the victory, scoring four consecutive goals twice, a three goal run, and seven consecutive goals in the final quarter to put the game out of reach.

The Scarlet Hawks did make a run in the first half. After spotting the Falcons a 4-1 lead, the Hawks scored three of the next four goals to pull within one goal at 5-4, with Yano Porter netting a pair of goals and Diego Sosa the other. But Concordia Wisconsin countered by scoring four straight goals to boost their lead to 9-4, and they held ground the remainder of the way.
