Milwaukee, Wis. – On Saturday, January 11th, the Illinois Tech Scarlet Hawks men's basketball team headed north to take on the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) contest. The Warriors were on the hunt for revenge after suffering their only loss of the season to the Hawks back on December 14th as the Hawks took a 63-62 buzzer beater upset over the then 6th ranked Warriors. In the January 11th contest, the Warriors (13-1,6-1) would do just that, moving to a 6-game winning streak with a 96-48 victory over the Hawks (3-11, 2-5).

After a close start that would see the Hawks lead on four separate occasions, the Warriors would go on to dominate the court. Unable to be stopped, the Warriors went on a 23-1 run starting with 6:48 remaining in the half. As the teams headed into the locker rooms at halftime, the Warriors led 57-23.
During the second half, the Warriors continued to be an offensive powerhouse. Joshua Iguade opened the half with a 3-pointer from a DeAndre Vortes assist before the Warriors went on a 10-0 run. As the half went on, the Warriors continued to put up baskets, eventually winning the contest 96-48.
Sophomore Joshua Iguade led the team and recorded a career high 17 points after going 7-of-8 (87.5%) from the field and 3-of-3 (100%) from three. Iguade also led in rebounds with seven, all defensive, and blocks with two. Jacob Stoltz of the Warriors recorded a season high and team high of 26 points after going 9-of-10 (90%) from the field, 4-of-5 (80%) from three and 4-of-4 (100%) from the free throw line. Stoltz shared the lead in rebounds and steals with seven and two while picking up four assists.

With their first game back inside the Keating Sports Center in 2025, the Hawks will return to Joe Hakes Court on Wednesday, January 15th when they welcome the Rockford University Regents for a 7:00PM NACC contest.
