Chicago, Ill. - Illinois Tech women's basketball traveled to Rockford on Wednesday night, looking for an opportunity to get back in the win column in conference play. But a cold-shooting second quarter by the Scarlet Hawks proved to be too much to overcome, as the Regents pulled away for an 87-51 victory. The Scarlet Hawks fell to 1-4 in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) play, and to 5-9 overall. The Regents improved to 2-3 in NACC play and to 3-9 overall.
Chloe Churilla paced the Scarlet Hawks with 17 points on 7-11 shooting from the field, while adding 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. She drew 6 opposition fouls.
Berit Rusing added 13 points on 6-13 shooting to go along with 4 steals, 2 rebounds and 1 assist. D'Asia Washington led Rockford with 24 points and 12 rebounds.
