River Forest, Ill. - Looking to snap a six-game losing streak, the Illinois Tech men's basketball team made the short drive to River Forest, Illinois to take on Dominican University Wednesday night in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference matchup. The Scarlet Hawks pulled within nine points halfway through the second half, but the Stars were too tough to handle on this night, winning the game 81-58. The Scarlet Hawks fell to 3-13 overall and 2-7 in NACC play. The Stars improved to 5-11 overall and 2-7 in conference.
DeAndre Vortes led the Hawks with 16 points while adding 4 assists.
Nick Galati added 11 points for the Hawks, while
Joshua Iguade had 8 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks.
Camron Scott led Dominican with a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds.
