Greenwood, Ind. - Senior Anna Elena Sofia Sebastio and juniors Karla Trautmann Mendez, Victoria Aspurez and Brooke Rifkin of Illinois Tech women's volleyball were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) 2025 Women's Volleyball Academic All-District® Team for NCAA Division III.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Women's Volleyball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom.
To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a sophomore or higher in class level, carry a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average (out of a scale of 4), and must compete in 90 percent of the institution's matches played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches.
The four Illinois Tech women's volleyball players were among only 32 other women's volleyball players from the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) to earn Academic All-District® honors. In addition, Illinois Tech women's volleyball was among 6 of the 14 NACC schools to receive the full allotment of four Academic All-District® recipients.
Both Sebastio and Trautmann Mendez carried 4.00 cumulative grade-point averages at the time of submission. Sebastio, Tratmann Mendez and Aspurez were also Academic All-District® recipients last season.
