Chicago, Ill. - Bryce Shoto of men's basketball and Uma Peters of women's basketball are the recipients of Scarlet Hawk of the Week honors for the week of December 1st.

Shoto, a sophomore guard and Business major from Plainfield, Illinois, averaged 13.5 points over two games as the Scarlet Hawks went 1-1 in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play. During the Hawks 92-77 win at Lakeland on December 3rd, Shoto scored 13 points on 6-12 shooting, with 1 rebound, 1 assist and 1 steal. Shot followed that up with a 14-point performance in the Hawks' game at Aurora on December 6th, shooting 6-11 from the field, with 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.

Peters, a first-year guard and Civil Engineering major from Nashville, Tennessee, came off the bench and scored 11 points in just under five minutes of playing time in the Scarlet Hawks home game against Aurora on December 6th. Peters was 4-5 from the field, including 3-4 from three-point range, while grabbing one rebound. For the season, Peters is averaging 5.4 points per game, shooting .500 from the field on 8-16 shooting, and .467 from three-point range on 7-15 shooting.
