Nashville, Tenn. - Opening their season on the road in Nashville with an early morning face-off against Hendrix College, the Illinois Tech men's lacrosse team found themselves trailing 5-4 with 10 minutes remaining in the third quarter. The Scarlet Hawks would respond, however, using a six-goal outburstĀ to open up a 10-5 lead en route to a 10-6 victory. The Hawks open their 2025 campaign 1-0. The Warriors fall to 0-3 on the season.
Jackson Brass opens his season with a 4-goal performance to lead all players.
Diego Sosa added two goals and an assist in the victory.
Kyle Johnson recorded 18 saves for the win.

- 1st Quarter - Hendrix 2 - Illinois Tech 0: Hendrix scores two early goals to jump out to a 2-0 lead. The Warriors outshot the Scarlet Hawks 11-6 in the opening frame.
- 2nd Quarter - Hendrix 2 - Illinois Tech 4: After Matthew Parsons on Hendrix scored just over one minute into the second quarter, the Scarlet Hawks would come back, scoring three consecutive goals to tie the game at 3-3. Each team would add one goal in the final minutes of the quarter to head into halftime tied at 4-4. Sosa led the Hawks with two goals.
- 3rd Quarter: Hendrix 1 - Illinois Tech 4: With just under five minutes played in the third quarter, Hendrix would score a go-ahead goal to take a 5-4 lead. The Scarlet Hawks would close out the third quarter with four unanswered goals to take an 8-5 lead into the fourth quarter. Brass led the Hawks with two goals in the quarter.
- 4th Quarter: Hendrix 1 - Illinois Tech 2: The Scarlet Hawks would add on to their lead in the fourth quarter, with Brass tallying his fourth of the match, followed by Marc Rebusi's first career collegiate goal, to give the Hawks a 10-5 lead. The Warriors would score with 13 seconds remaining for the final score tally favoring the Scarlet Hawks, 10-6
