Jameson Places 10th In High Jump, Earns 2nd Team All-American Honors at NCAA DIII Indoor Track & Field Championships

Olivia Jameson Competing At The 2025 NCAA D3 Indoor Track & Field Championships

Rochester, N.Y. -  Forgoing the spring break plans of her peers, Olivia Jameson headed up to the Empire State this past weekend to compete in the 2025 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Nazareth College. The star high jumper is no stranger to competing on this stage as this is her second indoor national meet and fourth overall NCAA championship meet. Jameson placed 10th overall in a field of 20 competitors, tied (with herself) for the highest placement by any Scarlet Hawk in the D3 era.

Jameson also earned 2nd Team All-American honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association based on her 10th place finish.

The competition started at a height of 1.60m, progressing to 1.65m and increasing by 0.3m each successive round. 19 of the 20 competitors were able to pass the first round but the progression to 1.65m knocked out 5 members of the field. Jameson leapt over the first two heights on her first attempt but was unable to clear 1.68m. However, her flawless execution in the first two rounds secured a tie with Hailey Carolan of Cornell College for 10th place, beating out the other competitors who also missed 1.68m. Allie Wildsmith of Coast Guard went on to win the competition with a jump of 1.77m. Serena McNeilly of Centre and Sara Hoskins of Loras both jumped 1.74m to earn second and third place respectively (McNeilly had one less miss than Hoskins).

Jameson will be back for more with the rest of the Scarlet Hawks in the outdoor season starting with the First Chance Invitational on March 28th – 29th.

From Head Coach Tyler McQuality:

"As always, I am incredibly proud of Olivia for qualifying and representing our program at the highest level in Division III Track & Field. It is not the result we wanted or expected, but nonetheless we go back to work for the outdoor championships!"

From Olivia Jameson

"Every time I compete at this level, it's always a valuable experience no matter the outcome. The group of girls I'm competing against are not only my biggest competitors but also who I look up to the most. I had a good PR during indoors and I'm really excited to build on that for outdoors."
