Chicago, Ill. - Zoe Turner of women's track and field and Zeng Wye Liew of men's swimming and diving are the recipients of Scarlet Hawk of the Week honors for the week of January 26th.
Turner, a senior sprinter and Architectural Engineering major from Hiram, Ohio, broke the school record in the women's indoor 200 meters with a time of 25.95 (banked-track adjusted time of 26.36) at the Chicago Collegiate Invitational at Gately Park. Turner placed 5th overall in the event, and now currently holds the top spot in the NACC for the women's indoor 200 meter time.
Liew, a first-year multi-event swimmer and Biomedical Engineering major from Subang Jaya, Malaysia, secured two first-place finishes in the Scarlet Hawks dual meet at Lake Forest College on Saturday, winning the men's 200 SC meter IM and the men's 100 SC meter breaststroke. Liew set the Lake Forest pool record in the men's 100 SC breaststroke event with a time of 1:04.05.
