Illinois Tech holds a 3-7 overall record and boasts a 3-1 standing in conference play, while Lawrence sits at 5-5 overall with a 2-3 conference record.
How It Happened
The game kicked off with Lawrence winning the opening face off and taking an early lead. Henry Fischer netted the first goal for Lawrence at 8:36, followed by a strike from Brody Herr at 6:07. Illinois Tech fired back with a goal from
Will Von Eyser, assisted by
Colin Markoski, at 2:09, tightening the score to 2-1. However, Lawrence ended the quarter with Herr's last-second goal, making it 3-1.
By halftime, Illinois Tech had clawed back to tie the game 3-3.
Diego Sosa scored at 11:55, thanks to a setup from
Altan Brown, capitalizing on a clear attempt. At 00:21,
Kevin Konopacki found the net off a pass from Sosa, leveling the score. The Scarlet Hawks' defense, led by
Ryan Littler, held strong with multiple key saves, including stops against Eamon Tegenfeldt-Pfo and Fischer.

In the final quarter, the Scarlet Hawks dominated. Montgomery scored again at 14:11. Sosa further extended the lead with help from
Canyon Kuchel at 10:32, and Von Eyser added another, bringing it to 9-4. Sosa wrapped up Illinois Tech's scoring at 2:22. Herr managed a late goal for Lawrence at 1:36, but the Scarlet Hawks controlled the quarter throughout, aided by
Duwayne Aikins' strong face off performance.
