De Pere, Wis. — Illinois Tech Baseball (12-14, 7-5 NACC) stays hot as they secured decisive victories over St. Norbert College (13-13, 3-9 NACC) on Saturday at Van Alstine Field, winning 12-6 in game one and 10-3 in game two. Illinois Tech's offense was highlighted by a four-run seventh inning in game one and a seven-run second inning in game two, contributing to a combined 32 hits over the doubleheader. The Scarlet Hawk pitchers held St. Norbert to just 13 hits across both games.

Game 1:
Illinois Tech began the game strong, scoring twice in the first inning.
Jack Friar walked, and
Quinton Riepl singled, setting up
Ryan Fostiak's RBI double that brought Friar home.
Philip Bentz followed with a sacrifice fly to score Riepl, giving Illinois Tech a 2-0 lead after the first inning. In the second inning, Illinois Tech added another run. After
Kendall Miyasato singled, Friar was hit by a pitch and advanced to third on Riepl's single. Friar then scored on a pickoff attempt, extending the lead to 3-0. St. Norbert responded with a two-run homer by Lucas, closing the gap to 3-2 by the end of the second inning.
Matthew Reilly hit a solo home run in the fourth, giving Illinois Tech a 4-2 lead, but St. Norbert surged ahead with four runs, including a two-run homer by Nobrega, ending the inning with a 6-4 lead. Illinois Tech tied the game in the sixth inning with a rally, and in the seventh, reclaimed the lead with four runs, resulting in a final score of 12-6.
Game 2:
St. Norbert College took an early lead in the first inning with a solo home run by DeBruin. However, Illinois Tech responded in the second inning, capitalizing on errors and timely hits to score seven runs.
Logan Inman reached on an error and scored on another error, before
Jack Friar doubled to bring in two unearned runs.
Ryan Fostiak followed with a two-RBI double, and an additional run scored on a throwing error. Inman contributed again with an RBI single, extending Illinois Tech's lead to 7-1.
Illinois Tech added two more runs in the fourth, with Fostiak and Bentz driving in runs, making it 9-1. St. Norbert managed a run in the fifth and another in the sixth, but Illinois Tech sealed the game with an insurance run in the seventh, resulting in a final score of 10-3.
