Milwaukee, Wis. - Duwayne Aikins of Illinois Tech Men's Lacrosse earned Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Student-Athlete of the Week honors for Men's Lacrosse - Specialist for his performance for the Scarlet Hawks last week.

Aikins, a sophomore midfielder and faceoff specialist and Mechanical Engineering major from Granite Bay, California, put in another stellar week at the faceoff circle, helping Illinois Tech go 2-0 in conference play last week. Aikins started the week with a 9-14 faceoff effort along with 4 ground balls in the Scarlet Hawks 6-5 home win over MSOE last Wednesday. On Saturday, Aikins went a perfect 12-12 from the circle and added 9 ground balls in the Hawks 14-2 Senior Day win over Marian. For the week, Aikins was 21-26 on faceoffs for an .808 faceoff percentage, to go with 13 ground balls.
