Chicago, Ill. - Angelica Conwell of women's tennis and Hozumi Tada of men's tennis are the recipients of Scarlet Hawk of the Week honors for the week of April 27th.

Conwell, a senior Architecture major from Naperville, Illinois, secured the match-winning point in the Scarlet Hawks 4-2 victory over Edgewood in the NACC Women's Tennis Championship on Sunday, helping the Hawks punch their ticket to the NCAA Women's Tennis Championships for the 2nd time in program history. Conwell, in a marathon match, battled back from 1-6 deficit after the first set of her singles match to win the next two sets in tie-breakers, 7-6(7-3) and 7-6(7-4), with the final point in the third-set tie-breaker clinching the NACC title. Conwell also won her semifinal doubles match against CUW with partner Paige Geiger 7-6 (7-0) to help the Hawks defeat the Falcons 4-0 to advance to the conference title match.

Tada, a sophomore Aerospace Engineering major from Sakura, Japan, scored the winning point in the Scarlet Hawks 4-3 match victory over MSOE in the NACC Men's Tennis Championship this past Sunday, securing the Hawks 6th NCAA Men's Tennis Championships appearance over the last 7 seasons. With the overall match tied at 3-3, it left Tada's no. 5 singles match as the deciding match for the title. Tada battled back from a 2-6 deficit after the 1st set to win the next 2 sets 6-2, 6-4, with the final point in set 3 clinching the NACC title and sending the Hawks on their way to the NCAAs. For the week, Tada went 3-1, splitting his singles matches against CUW(NACC semifinal) and MSOE, while winning both of his doubles matches with partner Pedro Caro-Accino Roca.
