Ryan Cantlin enters his 5th season serving as an Assistant Baseball Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the Scarlet Hawks. Cantlin works primarily with the pitching staff while coordinating the program’s recruiting efforts, helping identify and develop student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically.

As pitching coach, Cantlin oversees the development of the Scarlet Hawks pitching staff, focusing on mechanics, pitch design, bullpen management, and game preparation. He assists with opponent scouting and in-game strategy while working closely with pitchers to maximize their performance and consistency on the mound.

Cantlin is a former Scarlet Hawks pitcher who returned to the program following his collegiate playing career. As a left-handed pitcher at Illinois Tech, he was known for his competitiveness and durability, logging significant innings during his time with the program. His experience as a former student-athlete in the program allows him to connect closely with the Scarlet Hawk baseball culture.
