Jack Lunn was named the new head coach to lead the Illinois Tech men's and women's tennis programs in September, 2025.
Lunn comes to Illinois Tech by way of EarlhamĀ College in Richmond, Indiana, where Lunn helmedĀ the men's tennis programĀ since the 2022-23 season.
Lunn's collegiate head coaching career began in March of 2022, when he was named the head coach of the EarlhamĀ College men's tennis team afterĀ the program was reinstated following a two-year hiatus due to budget constraints arising from the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic. Lunn was charged with rebuilding the Quakers men's tennis program from the ground up. In three seasons at Earlham, Lunn achieved an overall record of 13-33, including an 11-11 overall record in the 2024-25 season and qualifying for the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) postseason tournament.
Prior to arriving at Earlham, Lunn spent two years as a graduate assistant coach for the men's and women's tennis programs at St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York.
Lunn played tennis collegiately at Grinnell College, where he amassedĀ a collegiate record of 57-12, including a 45-4 ledger in teamĀ matches.
Lunn earned his undergraduate degree in History from GrinnellĀ College in 2020, and his graduate degree in Leadership from St. Lawrence University in 2022.
Lunn is native to the Chicago area, born and raised in Lake Forest, Illinois and a graduate of Lake Forest High School. He is a passionate fan of the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Bears.
