Emily Wesoky became the third head coach in Illinois Tech women's lacrosse program history on July 29th, 2024.
Wesoky joins Illinois Tech after having played five years of NCAA Division I lacrosse; four years at Wagner College and one year at Rider University.
Wesoky graduated from Wagner College in 2023 with a B.A. in Sociology. During her senior year at Wagner she was second in points on the team, first on the team with assists and top 10 in the Northeast Conference in assists.
After graduating from Wagner College, Wesoky went to Rider University to play her fifth year and get her M.A. in Athletic Leadership and Sports Psychology. Wesoky was a captain and started all 17 games of the inaugural Division IÂ women's lacrosse program at Rider, where she helped build the culture and helped with the success from the ground up, on and off the field.
Wesoky has coached with nationally known clubs, including True Lacrosse, 3D Lacrosse, and Ultimate Lacrosse. She also plays for the Israel National Team, where she competed in the 2022 World Championships and 2024 European Championships, helping the team get sixth in the world, and second in Europe.
Wesoky's hometown is Sterling, Virginia.
