- Earned Scarlet Hawk of the Week honors for the week of January 12th, as she won two individual events and one team relay event in the Scarlet Hawks meet at Carthage this past Saturday. Matsumoto took first place in both the 100 yard backstroke (1:02.57) and the 200 yard backstroke (2:16.47), while also a leg on the 1st place women's 400 yard freestyle relay team (3:43.75).
- Competed in 13 meets, including 15 relay appearances.
- Won the 100-yard backstroke in 1:04.44 and placed 4th in the 200-yard freestyle (2:12.26) against Wisconsin-Whitewater on Oct. 11.
- Placed 3rd in the 200-yard backstroke (1:43.70) and competed in the 200-yard medley relay (3rd, 1:28.67) against the University of Chicago on Oct. 25.
- Won the 200-meter backstroke final in 1:06.13 and swam on the winning 200-meter medley relay (1:54.54) against Carroll on Nov. 8.
- Posted the season-best 1:44.61 and finished 1st in the Mixed 200 Yard Freestyle Relay against North Central on Jan. 10.
- Won the 100-yard backstroke finals in 1:02.57 and swam on the winning 400-yard freestyle relay (3:43.75) against Carthage on Jan. 17.
- Helped win the 800-yard freestyle relay (7:57.45) on Day 1 of the Liberal Arts Conference Championships on Feb. 11, then placed 2nd in the 200-yard backstroke finals (2:14.28) and swam on the 2nd-place 400-yard freestyle relay (3:36.64) on Feb. 14.
