Shana Hecht joins the Scarlet Hawks after having played five years of NCAA Division I lacrosse, beginning at Sacred Heart University and continuing at Temple University and Stony Brook University.

Hecht, a goalie, started her career at Sacred Heart University (2018-2020), earning NEC Rookie of the Week in her debut game for the Pioneers.
During her time at Temple (2020-2022), Hecht started all 19 games in the 2021 season, participated in the 2021 NCAA Division I Women’s Lacrosse Tournament, and contributed to the Owls’ first-round NCAA tournament win since 1998.

After graduating in 2022, Hecht pursued her fifth year at Stony Brook University (2023) and graduated with an MBA in Finance. The Seawolves were ranked #4 in the country by USA Lacrosse Magazine, won the 2023 CAA Women’s Lacrosse Championship, and made an appearance in the NCAA tournament, including a first-round victory.

After graduating, Hecht became an Assistant Coach for the St. Andrew’s School Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse team in Boca Raton, FL, assisting both the defensive and offensive coordinators, as well as the goalies for both varsity girls' and boys' teams. In her first year with St. Andrew’s, the Scotts made it to the FHSAA Regional Final for the first time in program history. Hecht has also been involved with Florida Select Lacrosse and Madskillz Youth Lacrosse, Team 91, South Jersey Shamrocks, and the U18 and U16 TEAM USA Development teams.
