Box Score

Chicago, Illinois - The Scarlet Hawks earned their third victory in a row as they hosted Ripon College in women's soccer on Saturday afternoon.  Noemi Luna scored her first goal of the year which was good enough to edge Ripon 1-0.

After a scoreless affair in the first half, the Hawks wasted no time taking control of the game.  Just one minute into the second half, Kristen Barrett played a dangerous corner which found Luna crashing into the six-yard box for the one-touch finish.  The Hawks would then possess the ball for the majority of the match and secure the win.

Barrett and Hailey Kunkel had stellar performances in the back to help the Hawks to their seventh shutout of the season.  Roxanne Myers had to make seven saves in the effort.

Illinois Tech improves to 8-5 and prepare to host Elmhurst College on Tuesday night at 7pm CST.
