Lisle, Ill. - On the road for a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) match-up, the Illinois Tech Scarlet Hawks women's volleyball team took on the Benedictine University Eagles. The match went in favor of the home team as the Eagles (8-7, 4-1) defeated the Hawks (3-14, 2-4) 3-0.
How It Happened
Set One - Eagles 25, Hawks 20

Set one remained close with multiple ties. After a Briar Moore kill, the Hawks and Eagles would be tied at 8-8. The Eagles would then jump out ahead before the Hawks fought their way back to tie the set back up once again, this time at 14-14 from a Maria Alcantara kill. For the remainder of the set, the Hawks would fight to keep it close, but the Eagles would remain out ahead, eventually taking set one 25-20.

The Hawks took the first two points of set three for the early lead before the Eagles tied the set up at 3-3. After the tie, the Eagles would get a point off a service ace from Olivia McPherson. From there, the Eagles would go on to lead the rest of the way over the Hawks. During the middle of the set, the Hawks would pick-up back-to-back points with kills from Karla Trautmann Mendez and Anna Elena Sofia Sebastio. By the end of the set, the Eagles took set three 25-17 over the Hawks.
