De Pere, Wis. - Illinois Tech men's soccer came to Northern Wisconsin Saturday afternoon looking to gain traction in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) standings in their match at St. Norbert. Unfortunately for the Scarlet Hawks, it was the Green Knights who gained ground in the standings, using a pair of late second half goals to propel themselves to a 2-0 victory. The loss dropped the Scarlet Hawks to 3-5-1 in conference play, and to 7-5-3 overall. The Green Knights improved to 5-3-1 in the conference, and to 5-7-3 overall.
The Scarlet Hawks currently sit in the 8th and final seed position for the NACCÂ post season tournament, with three conference matches to play. Two of those matches are against teams that are chasing the Scarlet Hawks in the standings.
