Wauwatosa, Wis. — Illinois Tech men's soccer found themselves in a familiar place Saturday afternoon in their match at Wisconsin Lutheran: trailing by one goal. But as they did in Wednesday night's comeback win at Lakeland, the Scarlet Hawks battled back to tie the score in the 59th minute, and

Illinois Tech improves to 7-5-2 overall and 4-3-1 in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) play following the victory. Wisconsin Lutheran moves to 2-9-3 overall and 1-4-2 in conference play after the loss.
Scarlet Hawks are now 4-1-2 in their last seven matches, and have moved up to 5th place in the conference standings.
The first half began with both teams vying for an early advantage. Illinois Tech's
Tomas Rebelatto had two shots saved by Wisconsin Lutheran's goalkeeper, Owen Gault, in the 1st and 11th minutes. Illinois Tech managed several attempts, with
Paul Balea and
Adam Lazarowicz each sending shots over the top in the 12th and 21st minutes, respectively. Despite multiple fouls and offside calls against both teams, the half concluded scoreless, with neither side able to capitalize on their opportunities.

Mateo Secaira, assisted by Balea. Scarlet Hawks' goalkeeper
