Chicago, Ill — Men's Soccer (5-5-2, 2-3-1) played to a 1-1 draw with Marian University (4-5-2, 2-3-1) on Saturday at Stuart Field. Before the match the Illinois Tech Seniors were recognized as part of the senior day festivities. Congratulations to men's soccer seniors

The first half began with Illinois Tech and Marian University both setting their defensive formations, with
Colin Thomas and Tyler Hall starting as goalkeepers. The Scarlet Hawks' offensive pressure was evident early, with
Mateo Secaira attempting a shot in the third minute and again in the 10th minute, though saved by Hall. Illinois Tech took the lead in the 25th minute when
Cal Graham scored, assisted by
Adam Lazarowicz, bringing the score to 1-0. Marian's Nathan Blazenko and Brayden Johnson tested Thomas with shots, both saved, as the home team maintained their lead at the end of the half.
Marian equalized early in the second half with a goal from Szymon Kielar in the 56th minute, bringing the score to 1-1. Lazarowicz had a shot on target in the 54th minute, but it was saved by Hall. Despite a flurry of offensive attempts from the Scarlet Hawks, including multiple shots from
Paul Balea and a notable save by Hall in the 80th minute, Illinois Tech was unable to break the deadlock. Both teams exchanged several shots and corner kicks, but neither could secure a decisive goal before the end of regulation, resulting in a draw.
