Chicago, ILL – Illinois Tech Baseball celebrated senior day on Saturday as they played host to St Norbert in a NACC doubleheader. Senior Lucas Waunn had a successful day at the plate recording four hits over the two contests. Illinois Tech struggled however to find consistent offense and keep the green knights off the scoreboard as Tech dropped both ends of the double header by scores of 13-3 and 10-2. With the two loses Tech drops to 10-20 and 6-10 in NACC play. St Norbert improves to 10-18 and 5-11 respectively.

How It Happened
The Green Knights struck early and often, beginning with a three-run second inning sparked by back-to-back singles and a two-RBI double from Trever Reinhardt. They added four more in the fourth, aided by a key two-run single from Dawson  Schmidt and a passed ball that allowed another run to score. By the time Illinois Tech responded in the eighth, they were already down 9–0.
In the eighth, Illinois Tech broke through when senior Lucas Waunn and Xavier Miner reached base, setting the stage for Gutsfeld's three-run homer over the right field fence. But St. Norbert quickly answered with four more in the ninth to seal the game.

How It Happened
St. Norbert wasted no time getting on the board as Trever Reinhardt launched a solo homer in the first inning. Illinois Tech answered in the third with an RBI single by Michael Paxson that brought home Gutsfeld to tie it 1–1.
Momentum shifted dramatically in the fourth when Reinhardt struck again—this time with a three-run bomb that gave St. Norbert a 4–1 lead. Gutsfeld tried to spark the Scarlet Hawks in the fifth with a solo homer of his own, but the Green Knights piled on five more runs between the sixth and seventh innings, capped off by Reinhardt's third longball of the game, another three-run shot.
Illinois Tech's bats cooled down late, as St. Norbert pitching limited them to just one hit over the final four innings.
