Milwaukee, Wis. - Carson Owens of Illinois Tech Track & Field earned Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Student-Athlete of the Week honors for Men's Track & Field - Track, for his performance for the Scarlet Hawks this past week.

Owens, a first-year sprinter and Architecture major from Chicago, Illinois, broke the school record in the men's indoor 400 meters with a time of 49.72 (banked track adjusted to 50.52) at the Chicago Collegiate Invitational at Gately Park. Owens placed 4th in the event, and now has the top indoor 400 meters time in the NACC.
