New Orleans, La. – Carson Owens of Illinois Tech Track and Field was awarded All-Region honors by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for his performance in the men's 400 meters event in the Midwest Region during the 2026 Indoor Track and Field season.
The top-8 individuals in each event from each region on the year-end Descending Order Lists earned All-Region distinction.
Owens, a freshman sprinter and Architecture major from Atlanta, Georgia, ran a banked-track adjusted time of 48.01 (48.77 non-banked time) at the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Indoor Track & Field championships on February 28th in Ripon, Wisconsin, taking first place in the event, and locking in his qualification for the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships in Birmingham, Alabama this Friday, March 13th.
