Orlando, Fla. - The Illinois Tech women's tennis team hasn't enjoyed the same success they did in the fall season since they resumed play on March 8th, going 0-5 since then after going 8-1 during the fall portion of their schedule, including 8-0 in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) play. But the spring break trip to Florida this week is an opportunity for the team to work through their games as they continue to rebuild their performance after a lengthy layoff, with an eye towards the conference tournament at the end of April.

To Head Coach Jack Lunn, the wins and losses during the spring trip our less important to the women's team at this point than the opportunity to get in multiple matches of play against tough competition so they're playing at their best when it matters most in the NACC tournament.

"The women are improving match over match against a very tough spring schedule," said Lunn. "Our competitive drive is getting to where it needs to be to set us up for success in the conference tournament"
