Milwaukee, Wis. - Tanay Sharma of Illinois Tech Men's Tennis earned Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Student-Athlete of the Week honors for Men's Tennis for his performance for the Scarlet Hawks last week.

Sharma, a first-year computing major from Ahmedabad, India, went 3-1 on the week as the Scarlet Hawks clinched their 6th NACC regular season title in the last 7 seasons with wins over Concordia Wisconsin and St. Norbert this past weekend. In his #1 singles match against CUW, Sharma defeated Hayden Latus 7-5, 6-2. He also won #1 doubles with Alexander Feher 6-4 against CUW's Latus and Murilo Zeni. On Sunday, Sharma beat SNC's Brett Daniels in #1 singles 2-6, 6-3, 1-0(10-8), while dropping a close #1 doubles match with Feher to SNC's Daniels and Charlie Keller 6-7 (6-8).
