Chicago, IL – Illinois Tech hosted Robert Morris University-Springfield on a snowy Saturday afternoon in men's basketball action. In their second matchup in three weeks, RMU keyed in on one of the Hawks' most prolific scorers, Anthony Loss. Samuel Rarick stepped up for the Hawks and provided some offensive spark but it wasn't quite enough in the end as Tech ended up on the short end of a 93-44 game.
Turnovers and mental mistakes proved costly for the Hawks as they couldn't recover from an early deficit. Rarick finished the game with 24 points going 10-for-15 from the field and a perfect 4-for-4 from the stripe. He also added a game-high seven rebounds tied with teammate Anders Bybjerg.
During this game the team held a deodorant drive benefiting the St. James Food Pantry. Please contact Michael Maher at mmaher@stjameswabash.org for more information on St. James and their services.
The Hawks will be on the road to take on Lincoln Christian College on Tuesday night before closing out the season on a three-game home stand.
