Chicago, Ill. – The Illinois Tech women's tennis team overpowered Alverno College in NACC action today. The Hawks (7-5, 7-2 NACC)  downed the Inferno (0-13, 0-9 NACC) 9-0 in a fall closing victory. 

How it Happened

• The Hawks jumped all over the Inferno from the outset taking the two doubles matches in convincing fashion, 8-0 in both.
• The Hawks were able to dominate the singles match ups with 3 matches being decided 6-0, 6-0.
• Nicole Fajardo finished off the scoring for the Scarlet Hawks in the 67th minute off the put back shot.

Scarlet Hawks Standouts

• Hana Iverson, Kylie Hance and Sophia Nelson had huge afternoons, not losing a single game in her doubles or singles matches. 
• Morgan Colbert set the tone with a singles win in straight sets after a dominant performance in the top doubles match.
• Allyson Trang finished off the afternoon in straight sets also getting the 6-0, 6-0 match win.

• This concludes the fall slate for the Scarlet Hawk women, they will be back in action March 1st as they travel to Kalamazoo College.
