Milwaukee, Wis. - Mateo Secaira of Illinois Tech Men's Soccer earned Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Student-Athlete of the Week honors for Men's Soccer - Offensive Player, for his performance for the Scarlet Hawks this past week.

Secaira, a first-year forward and Mechanical Engineering major from San José, Costa Rica, put together a 14-point week as the Scarlet Hawks won both of their matches. Secaira started the week with a 5-goal outburst in the Hawks' 9-1 win against Rockford last Wednesday. He followed that up by factoring in all three goals in the Hawks' 3-0 win over #3 seed St. Norbert in the NACC Tournament Quarterfinals on Saturday. Secaira had 1 goal and 2 assists, helping the Scarlet Hawks earn their first tournament victory in program history. Secaira is a 3-time NACC Student-Athlete of the Week this season.
