Kenosha, Wis. -  After two long days of competition at the 2025 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships, the Men's and Women's Track and Field teams returned home with their pockets jangling. The Scarlet Hawks boasted five podium finishes and 11 Top 8 finishes in the zenith of the indoor season.

On the men's side, sprinters Julius Wardlow and Ajibola Claudius-Akinyemi had standout performances in the 60m and 200m dash. Wardlow placed 3rd in the 60m, running 7.05 and beating out teammate Claudius-Akinyemi by one one-thousandth of a second. Across 200m, Claudius-Akinyemi ran a new school record time of 22.60, earning him 4th place overall. Wardlow placed 6th in the same event with a time of 22.65.

In the Heptathlon, Finnick Poulin scored a personal best 3397 points to earn him 6th place in the meet. During the competition he set personal records in the 60-meter dash, 60-meter hurdles, and the 1000 meter run.

The men placed 8th overall out of 11 teams.

On the women's side, Olivia Jameson and Amelia Moseman were crowned as NACC Champions in the High Jump and 400 meter dash, respectively. Jameson continued her dominant ways, beating out the competition with a jump of 1.64m. Moseman ran an indoor PR of 58.20 seconds to win her third consecutive indoor 400m title, breaking her own school record in the process. Junior Rachel Brettin ran a new school record in the mile with a time of 5:22.21, securing a 3rd place finish. This is the first podium finish in a distant event for the Hawks since joining the NACC.

In the final event of the competition, the women's 4x400 team of Jameson, Zoe Turner, Brettin, and Moseman ran a school record time of 4:07.01 to earn 2nd place, just 0.33 seconds off the first-place finishers from St. Norbert—a thrilling conclusion for those who stuck around long enough to see it.

Collectively, the women's team placed 5th overall thanks to additional top 8 performances from Zoe Turner in the 200m (7th), Kailey Nicholas in the Triple Jump (6th). This is the highest finish for the Scarlet Hawks in a NACC Championship in program history.

Head Coach Tyler McQuality feels there are many more record-setting performances to look forward to from the Scarlet Hawks in the upcoming outdoor season.

"Our program keeps building towards what we know it can become and this weekend at the NACC championships is a great example of that growth," said McQuality. "Multiple podium performances and school records shows we have the right culture and the right people. So proud of this team and I cannot wait to see what we can do this spring outdoors. This is just the beginning!"

Assistant coach Brendan Batliner had much to applaud in his group of sprinters, saying, "I am immensely proud of our sprinters, every one of whom set a personal best in one of their events this weekend! This result is a testament to their dedication this indoor season toward bettering themselves and their athletic abilities. Go Hawks!" In the field, jumps coach Sai Valluri had his eyes set forward: "The indoor season has come to a close, and as we transition into the outdoor season, maintaining consistency will be key. Everyone has been putting in the work, and it's paying off—let's keep building on this momentum for even greater success ahead!"
