Milwaukee, Wis. - Hozumi Tada of Illinois Tech Men's Tennis earned Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Student-Athlete of the Week honors for Men's Tennis for his performance for the Scarlet Hawks this past week.
Tada, the first-year tennis player and Aerospace Engineering major from Sakura, Japan, continued his winning ways this past week, going 2-0 in the Hawks' lone match played, while extending his singles and doubles winning streaks to eight matches each. Tada and no.2 doubles partner Pedro Caroa-Accino Roca defeated CUC's Samuel Smith and Nathan Stringer 6-0. Tada followed that up with 6-0, 6-0 sweep of his no.4 singles match against Smith, as the Scarlet Hawks won their match 7-0 and clinched the no.2 seed in the NACC postseason tournament.
