Michael Paxson of Illinois Tech Baseball was named to the
College Sports Communicators (CSC) 2024-25 Baseball Academic All-District® Team for NCAA Division III.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Baseball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a sophomore or higher in class level, carry a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average (out of a scale of 4), and must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games.
Paxson, a senior first baseman and Aerospace Engineering major from Simi Valley, California was named Honorable Mention All-Conference for the 2025 season. Paxson started 36 games and appeared in 37 overall, batting .362 with a 1.015 OPS. He tallied 50 hits in 138 at-bats, including 7 doubles, 1 triple, and 7 home runs, while driving in 19 runs and scoring 22. He posted a .580 slugging percentage and a .435 on-base percentage, and he recorded 11 stolen bases in 13 attempts. Paxson collected his 200
th hit of his career with a hom run at Rate field on April 21
st.
