Northborough, Mass. - The Illinois Tech women's lacrosse team received academic recognition yesterday afternoon when the
Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) named three Scarlet Hawks to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, and the team also achieved IWLCA Academic Honor Squad status for this past season.

Julianna Moore and
Iona Pettigrew were each named to the 2024-25 IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. The IWLCA honored 1,284 student-athletes from 202 different institutions on the 2024-25 IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll.
The Illinois Tech women's lacrosse team was among 376 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA named as IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2024-25 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.

The IWLCA is a membership-led, professional association representing the nation's intercollegiate women's lacrosse coaches within Division I, II & III of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The IWLCA is a 501c(3) nonprofit educational organization. Currently there are over 500 institutional members and over 1,200 coaches and staff at NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, and NAIA collegiate programs.
