La Crosse, Wis. - Senior Olivia Jameson of Illinois Tech women's track and field wrapped up a stellar career with a 16th place finish in the women's high jump at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by University of Wisconsin - La Crosse.

Jameson started off her fourth outdoors national appearance by clearing the initial height of 1.59 meters on her first attempt.

In the second round at 1.63 meters, Jameson hit the bar on her first attempt before clearing on her second attempt.

In the third round at 1.67 meters, Jameson came close on her third attempt but just clipped the bar for an unsuccessful jump, ending her day in the high jump event.

Jameson closes out her career as a seven-time Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) champion in the women's high jump event, claiming three indoor titles and four outdoor titles. Jameson qualified for the NCAA Championships six times throughout her career: the 2024 and 2025 indoor championships and the outdoor championships in 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026.

Jameson reflected on her career and the moments she carries with her from her national appearances.

"I'm very grateful I've gotten the opportunity to travel and meet so many amazing people throughout these past four years at nationals meets, but also within the conference and the team," said Jameson. "High jumping is something I've loved to do for a long time, and it was always incredibly motivating to see people at nationals who were equally as passionate about it. There are a few girls I've seen at nationals all four years so yesterday was extra special cheering them all on one last time and seeing how far we've all come."

Head Coach Tyler McQuality had nothing but high praise for Jameson.

"It's hard to put into words how proud I am of Olivia," said McQuality. "She has been such an amazing representation of our program on the national stage these last 4 years. She leaves as the most decorated athlete in program history and that is a byproduct of all the work she put in to be a six-time NCAA qualifier. I am very thankful I got the opportunity to coach her. She has an amazing future ahead of her off the track"

Sophomore Avery Baker-Schlendering of Ohio Northern was the event champion with a jump of 1.79 meters after defending outdoor champion Allie Wildsmith, a senior from the Coast Guard Academy, failed on her first two tries at 1.79 meters, but decided to pass on her third attempt to set up a showdown with Baker-Schlendering in the eighth round at 1.82 meters. Baker-Schlendering failed to clear on all three attempts at 1.82 meters, but Wildsmith failed on her lone pass attempt in the round, securing the championship for Baker-Schlendering. Wildsmith finished third overall at 1.76 meters, while junior Serena McNeilly of Centre College claimed second place at 1.76 meters with a clear on her first attempt in sixth round.
