Milwaukee, Wis. - Kayla Thomas of Illinois Tech Women's Soccer earned Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Student-Athlete of the Week honors for Women's Soccer - Offensive Player, for her performance for the Scarlet Hawks this past week.

Thomas, a graduate student forward and Mechanical Engineering major from Helsingborg, Sweden, had an explosive week offensively for the Scarlet Hawks, as the team won both of their NACC matches. Thomas started the week by recording a hat trick, scoring 3 goals in a 6-0 home win against Concordia University Chicago last Wednesday. She followed up that performance with 2 more goals in a 7-1 home win against Edgewood on Saturday.  Thomas finished the week with 6 shots, all on target, converting 5 goals for an .833 shot percentage, while playing 104 minutes over the two matches. This is Kayla's first NACC Student-Athlete of the Week honor.
