Bourbonnais, Ill. – On Saturday, October 26th the Illinois Tech Swimming & Diving team competed in the Chicagoland Tri Meet hosted by the Olivet Nazarene University Tigers. Originally, the meet was supposed to be a Quadrangular, with the Hawks competing against Olivet Nazarene University (ONU) Tigers, Wheaton College Thunder, and the University of Chicago Maroons, but prior to the meet, the Maroons pulled out, shifting the Quadrangular to a tri meet.
At the conclusion of the meet, the Hawks men's swimming & diving team was able to pull away with a 148-133 victory over the Thunder while falling to the Tigers 209-71. The Hawks women's team fell to Thunder 198-61 and the Tigers 202-60.
The Hawks recorded one first place finish, seven second place finishes, and four third place finishes. Claire van Biljon picked up the Hawks lone first place finish in the Women's 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 54.26.

The Hawks will be back on the road on Saturday, November 2nd when they take on Lewis University and Lake Forest College in a Double Dual in Romeoville, Ill. Competition is scheduled to begin at 12:00 PM.
