About The Athletics Hall of Fame
Â
Illinois Tech Athletics Hall of Fame is a tradition to honor the important contributions of our student-athletes, alumni, coaches, administrators, and other special members of the athletics community. After a storied and successful history of intercollegiate athletics dating back to the early 1900s, this recognition is well deserved.
Â
In 2019, the Illinois Tech Athletics Advisory Board was developed to provide athletics department administrators with a group of individuals to help direct the future of the student-alumni experience. The board quickly identified the need to recognize the past and celebrate those who paved the way for the success of current and future student-athletes. Over the course of Illinois Tech Athletics' history, more than 2,000 athletes have demonstrated success both in and out of their athletic competition. More than 20 teams have been affiliated with the institution, leading to its current membership into NCAA Division III, the largest division in the organization.
Â
The inaugural class was inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame in September 2022. We are excited to celebrate our Scarlet Hawks—both of the past and today—through this meaningful program.Â
