Milwaukee, Wis. - Mateo Secaira of Illinois Tech Men's Soccer earned Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Student-Athlete of the Week honors for Men's Soccer - Offensive Player, for his performance for the Scarlet Hawks this past week.

Secaira, a first-year forward and Mechanical Engineering major from San José, Costa Rica, led the Scarlet Hawks offensively last week as he was on the stat sheet for both Tech goals. Secaira assisted on the Scarlet Hawks lone goal in the 55th minute in their 1-1 draw at Dominican on Wednesday. Against MSOE on Saturday, Secaira secured a win for the Hawks as he broke the scoreless tie with an individual effort beating two defenders before finding the back of the net in the 84th minute, giving the Scarlet Hawks the 1-0 victory over the then 2nd place Raiders.
